He remarked that the crisis could have been resolved much earlier if someone had visited the victim’s family within two days of the incident to extend support and express solidarity. Pawan emphasized that timely intervention was crucial and regretted that Allu Arjun had to navigate the ordeal alone.
Addressing the Pushpa 2 stampede incident and the subsequent arrest of Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan extended his backing to the actor but also highlighted the mistakes that aggravated the situation. He criticized the lack of collective action, saying that the actor was unfairly left to shoulder the burden of the controversy. Turning his attention to TPCC President Revanth Reddy, Pawan commented that his involvement in the matter reflected his characteristic approach, regardless of the individuals involved.
Pawan acknowledged that Revanth Reddy had been supportive of the movie’s promotions, including approving ticket price hikes and additional screenings. However, he expressed disappointment over the actor being singled out for accountability. Pawan also pointed out that a lack of human empathy in handling the situation led to unnecessary complications.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that actors are always keen to connect with their audiences and maintain their reputation. He noted that apologies and support can be extended in various ways and suggested that someone from Allu Arjun’s team or the theater management should have proactively reached out to the victim’s family. According to Pawan, this simple act could have prevented the issue from escalating.
Pawan also proposed conducting audits to ensure that films promote positive societal values, commending the Telangana government for handling the situation with dignity. He stressed that better planning is needed to avoid similar incidents during high-profile movie releases.
