Arjun agrees to the divorce, and Kayal plans to stay at her parental home until the process is finalized.

Wanting to make their last journey together memorable, Arjun insists on personally dropping her off. During their trip, they cross paths with Deepika (Regina) and Rakshit (Arjun). When their car breaks down on the highway, Deepika offers Kayal a lift. But soon after, Kayal mysteriously goes missing.

Who is behind Kayal’s disappearance? Was it an accident or a planned abduction? How does Arjun uncover the truth and rescue his wife? The answers unfold in this gripping thriller.

Review:

Ajith looks stylish in the film, but due to patchwork shooting, his appearance varies—he appears lean in some scenes and slightly heavier and older in others. However, his commanding screen presence keeps the audience engaged and drives the film forward.

Trisha looks stunning and shares good chemistry with Ajith, but her character lacks depth, giving her limited scope beyond being a passive observer in the story.

Arjun Sarja delivers a decent performance, though a younger actor might have brought more impact to the role. Regina Cassandra impresses with her screen presence and does justice to her character, but inconsistent storytelling occasionally makes both her and Arjun’s performances feel overdone.

Director Magizh Thirumeni has designed Ajith’s character and scenes effectively, but the overall execution falls short. The second half, in particular, lacks an engaging narrative, with several scenes feeling slow and predictable. The mind game between Ajith and Arjun had the potential to be more intense but wasn’t fully developed.

Barring the climax, the film struggles to maintain excitement and intrigue. Despite the opportunity to make the screenplay more gripping, the director sticks to a conventional approach. While Magizh Thirumeni impresses with his direction, his writing doesn’t leave a strong impact. A tighter screenplay in the second half and a more powerful villain characterization could have made a significant difference.

One of the major drawbacks is Anirudh’s music. The background score lacks the necessary intensity and fails to elevate the scenes as expected. On the other hand, the cinematography shines, with several breathtaking sequences that stand out visually.

In terms of editing, N.B. Srikanth could have trimmed a few slower scenes to improve the film’s pace. The producer has ensured high production quality without any compromises, making the film visually rich and appealing.

Pattudala stands as Ajith’s star vehicle, and fans of the actor will certainly enjoy his stylish portrayal. However, the film falls short with a familiar, predictable storyline that lacks the thrilling elements and high-energy action sequences expected from such a film. As a result, it misses the mark in delivering the excitement needed for an engaging weekend watch.
