The proposed visit of YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Rapthadu constituency has been creating tension in the politically sensitive region, on Tuesday. Jagan is scheduled to visit the family members of Lingamaiah, a YSRCP activist who was recently murdered in Papireddy Palli, Ramagiri mandal.
Accusing that Jaganmohan Reddy is attempting to politicize a personal dispute, Rapthadu TDP MLA Paritala Sunitha warned him against any provocative move. She threatened that if they want they are capable of preventing him from landing in her constituency. “But as disciplined soldiers of the TDP and followers of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who believe in peace and harmony we are maintaining restraint”, she asserts.
Jaganmohan Reddy will arrive in Rapthadu in a special helicopter from Bengaluru. He is visiting amid the tensions after Lingamayya’s murder. In this context, the police have made heavy police arrangements. “We have both the guts and courage to stop former CM and Pulivendula MLA Jagamohann Reddy from coming to Papireddy Palli,” said Paritala Sunitha.
“But, we have the blood of Chandrababu and TDP. Our party leaders are expressing extreme anger over Jagan’s visit to Rapthadu constituency”, she added. In the past, recalled that when Paritala Ravi went to Pulivendula, Jagan’s family blocked him. “That is why our party workers are expressing the opinion that Jagan Reddy should be blocked”, she said.
“We have the power to send back the helicopter in which Jagan Reddy boarded without landing. However, our leader Chandrababu did not teach us such a culture”, she added.
Sunitha accused that Jagan Reddy is coming to politicize a death. She said that Topudurthi brothers are portraying an unexpected incident as a factional murder and politicizing it. She advised that it is not right for a former Chief Minister to come here without knowing the facts.
She said that Jagan should come and visit the victim’s family and help them in some way. However, she warned him not to make provocative comments and create a stir among the people here. If Jagan loves BCs so much, she advised him that he should appoint a BC in-charge of Rapthadu. If he has the guts and courage, he should make this announcement during his visit on Tuesday, she added.
