As the general elections of 2023 are approaching in December in Telangana, the candidates of respective parties are preparing to cement their name in order to get the B-form. However, one particular constituency is becoming the talk of the Telangana political circles for its leaders and their aspirations to get the MLA ticket and it is Paleru.
The constituency of Paleru in Khammam district is currently under the Congress of Telangana wing but the ruling party BRS is eyeing it and the former MLA Thummala Nageswara Rao is eyeing getting the ticket once again. Since he lost in the 2019 elections, KCR excluded his name so he is keen on joining Congress or contesting as an MLA. At the same time, the other BRS leader who recently exited from the party and joined Congress, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy is also looking forward to getting the B-form under the Congress ticket. As these two leaders are not enough, the YSRTP President YS Sharmila is demanding Paleru ticket in order to extend her support to Congress by merging the party but the Congress isn’t interested in this deal.
Meanwhile, the sitting MLA Kandala Upender Reddy is keen on retaining his own seat since he won with the Congress ticket in 2019. If at Thummala joins Congress, then it is indeed a huge task for the TPCC biggies to finalize the Paleru seat to one.
