No change in ‘Tiger’ date, ‘Kesari’ to prepone

As the release of Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’ is deferred to an indefinite date, many upcoming films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi have reshuffled their plans. While four Tamil films have locked September 28th, a handful of Bollywood films have also occupied the vacant slot.

In Telugu, Ram’s Skanda shifted to 28th and Kiran Abbavaram’s Rules Ranjan has also announced its release on the same date. Speculations were rife till yesterday that Ravi Teja’s period biopic ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ might also prepone the release date from October 20th to September 28th. However, it looks like there won’t be any change in the release date because of pending post-production activities.

The makers of Tiger Nageswara Rao felt that they couldn’t rush the post production work and compromise on the output. Hence, they decided not to opt for any change and stick to their earlier release plans.

It is a known fact that Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film Bhagavanth Kesari is also slated for release on October 19th. Now, the makers of this Anil Ravipudi directional are planning to prepone the release date to the first week or second week of October to avoid a clash with Tiger Nageswara Rao and Leo.

If they speed up the post production activities, Bhagavanth Kesari might release a couple of weeks early.

Trade circles and industry circles are unhappy with the confusion created by the unexpected postponement of Salaar.
