Star Telugu actress Samantha’s upcoming mythological entertainer ‘Shaakunthalam’ left her fans in vain as it was postponed due to reasons better known to the makers. For those fans, the makers today updated a revised tentative release date.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu who confined herself to character-driven roles these days is testing her luck with ‘Shakunthalam. The author-backed role of ‘Shakunthala’ is taken from the literature titled ‘Abhijnana Shaakunthalam’ written by the great poet Kalidasa. Mythology-loving maker Gunasekhar who has given a lady-oriented hit like ‘Rudramadevi’ has sculptured this movie keeping Samantha’s glamor and acting skills in mind. Initially, the movie was ready to get released on the 17th of this month but was later postponed indefinitely. Upon holding talks, Gunasekhar revealed that the movie will be out on the 14th of April Summer vacation in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada along with its original Telugu version.
Gunasekhar has bankrolled this project under his daughter’s name Neelima Guna on the ‘Guna Team Works’ banner along with Dil Raju’s ‘Sri Venkateswara Creations’. Malayalam actor Devi Mohan is the male lead opposite Samantha and other actors like Ananya Nagalla, Goutami, Allu Arha, etc are portraying crucial roles in this creative entertainer.
