Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has responded strongly to former minister and YSRCP spokesperson Roja’s comments about the Red Book discussion at Davos. Lokesh clarified that during their visit to Zurich, a local group expressed interest in meeting Chandrababu Naidu, which led to a session with 700 people. During this meeting, someone brought up the Red Book, and Lokesh explained that he only addressed it because it was raised by someone else. He shared these details after attending a defamation case hearing in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

Lokesh also took aim at Roja’s criticism of the Davos trip, where she claimed that while other states secured significant investments, the Andhra Pradesh delegation returned empty-handed. Lokesh sarcastically remarked that Roja seemed to be unaware of the difference between Davos and Zurich. He also questioned why the YSRCP appeared so concerned about the Red Book, emphasizing that his mention of it was simply a response to a query during their Zurich visit.

On the issue of officials allegedly violating the law, Lokesh made it clear that anyone responsible for harassing TDP leaders or the public would not go unpunished. He stressed that if the law is being followed, there should be no reason for concern. Lokesh also spoke about the ongoing investigations into the irregularities under the YSRCP government, acknowledging that the sheer volume of cases could overwhelm the police, but assured that all investigations would continue.

Turning to investments, Lokesh praised the NDA-led government for securing over 6 lakh crore rupees in investments in just seven months, which created jobs for 6 lakh people. He pointed out the failure of the previous government to establish industries despite signing agreements and highlighted Maharashtra’s success at Davos, attributing it to political stability, which Andhra Pradesh lacks.
