Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh has directed that the `Naipunya’ (Skill) portal be prepared by September 1 and to organise job fairs in constituencies every three months. The minister announced that the Akshara Andhra program will be launched from August 7.
Minister Nara Lokesh conducted reviews on the higher, school, intermediate education, skill development and training departments at his residence in Undavalli. He suggested that the resume should be prepared automatically after registering on the Naipunya portal, and that the portal should be taken to the people in a mission mode for job and employment creation.
He said that an action plan be prepared on the functioning of the district employment offices. He said that consultations should be held with the embassies of the respective countries to further facilitate job and employment creation abroad.
He clarified that language subject marks should be given as an average of the marks of other subjects so that students with special needs do not face any difficulties in getting admissions in IITs and NITs every year. He said that students who have completed the 10th standard should be admitted to intermediate or vocational courses.
Minister Nara Lokesh revealed that steps should be taken to issue appointment orders to the candidates selected in the DSC by August. He said that steps should be taken on the appointment of teachers in High School Plus. He said that courses should be in accordance with UGC regulations to reduce the burden on students in the degree.
He explained that students as well as colleges should be given the opportunity to apply online and offline. The fee reimbursement arrears for the 2024-25 academic year should be released immediately. He directed that steps should be taken to set up advanced computer labs in Triple ITs under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Science and Technology (RGUKT).
Lokesh spoke to the managements who have come forward to set up private universities in the state and suggested that steps should be taken promptly. He clarified that steps should be taken to make the parents and teachers’ meeting to be held on the 10th of this month a success across the state.
