Similarly, in Andhra Pradesh students have brought pressure due to delay in fee reimbursement policy by the previous government. Even as they were informed that their fees would be paid immediately the reimbursements were done, college authorities have continuously been asking for payments leaving students in a fix.
To this effect, in response to this burden, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh recently revealed that the much-needed fee reimbursement funds have not been delayed and are forthcoming soon. While working very closely with his cabinet and senior officials Lokesh is keen towards fighting this problem and has informed the students that good news is on the way.
Lokesh blamed the former government for non-disbursement of ₹3,500 crore reimbursements affecting many students’ lives. He also pointed out that the Cabinet is expected to clear the release of these funds anytime soon especially when some colleges have been preventing students from sitting for exams due to unpaid tuition fees. A press release on the settlement of this issue is still to be made in future, offering hope and a relief to a number of students within this state.
