Naa Anveshana, a YouTube channel originally renowned for its travel content, has recently found itself embroiled in controversy. Host Anvesh, who previously concentrated on narrating travel experiences and discovering new locations, has now taken a turn to make serious accusations and employ inciting language against a number of high-profile figures and officials. This shift in direction has garnered widespread interest and generated arguments on all social media platforms.
In his recent video, Anvesh had accused the Hyderabad Metro of being party to a ₹300 crore betting scam and named several important personalities in the charges. Among them were DGP, Metro MD NVS Sreedhar Reddy, former Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and several IAS officers. He had accused these officers of promoting betting apps, which made the video go viral. But the video also caught the eye of the police, with a constable going to the extent of registering a formal complaint against Anvesh for making false and defamatory claims. The authorities then filed a case against him.
Anvesh’s provocative content has drawn ire, with most wondering if he is more interested in sensationalism for views. His latest comments against other YouTubers and their families have only added to the furore. Although it is not known if Anvesh will apologize for his actions, the situation remains unfolding. If the controversy takes a further turn, there are chances that Anvesh may be taken to court, including possible arrest, when he goes back to Hyderabad.
