AP Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Dr P. Narayana says that his government’s budget is sufficient only to pay off the interest on the debts incurred by the YSRCP government. He said that he worked as a minister for the same department in 2014-19, and there was a budget then, but now it is sufficient only for debts.

He said that the schemes failed because the previous government did not provide matching grants for the funds given by the Center for drinking water schemes, Swachhandra and Amrutha schemes. Minister Narayana inaugurated the Sujana Service Center, the first of its kind in the country, under the auspices of the Sujana Foundation in Vijayawada.

On this occasion, the minister distributed electrical vehicles under the auspices of the Sujana Foundation. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Narayana said, “I have known Sujana Chowdhury since 2004. He has immense experience as a Union Minister. My congratulations on launching Sujana Mitra through the Sujana Foundation”.

He appreciated that Sujana Chowdhury is striving to make a constituency an ideal constituency as an MLA. He recalled that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched P4 on Ugadi day. He praised Sujana Chowdhury for doing it through his foundation with the same inspiration.

Minister Narayana said that he would also work to provide such services in other constituencies. He accused the previous government of diverting the Rs 3,000 crores of taxes collected by the municipality. The minister said that his government has issued orders to spend the taxes collected by the respective municipalities from this financial year.

MLA Sujana Chowdhury said that they are undertaking these service programs to solve the problems of the people beyond politics. He said that politics should be confined only till the elections, and then everyone should serve the people. MLAs Dr. Kamineni Srinivas, former MLAs Samineni Udayabhanu, former Vangaveeti Radha and others participated in the program.
