Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja reunited with director Harish Shankar for the third time in his career after Shock and Mirapakay for the official remake of Bollywood crime drama Raid, which starred Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The film, titled Mr. Bachchan, is on the verge of completing the shooting formalities and the makers unveiled the first glimpse this Monday evening.
The one minute showreel serves as intro for the plot of the film. It promises an epic face-off between the lead protagonist played by Ravi Teja and the main antagonist essayed by Jagapathi Babu. The power-packed teaser is filled with fleeting visuals of the racy drama that unfolds when Ravi Teja raids villain’s home. There are plenty of action blocks with engaging narration and gripping screenplay.
Ravi Teja looks dynamic and retains his vintage mannerisms. His energetic avatar and impressive body language are the major highlight for the teaser. Jagapathi Babu is a perfect fit for the role. Bhagya Sri Borse is the female lead and she gets a couple of frames in the teaser.
Director Harish Shankar, who has the habit of dishing out masala entertainers, seems to have picked up a commercially viable story and adapted it to suit to the Telugu nativity with his signature style mass elements.
Mickey J Meyer renders a pulsating background score that complements the intensity of the teaser.
Mr. Bachchan, which is being produced by TG Viswa Prasad, is aiming for release on August 15th.
