The disappearance of key files in the Fiber Net case in AP has created a sensation. There are allegations that a Fiber Net women employee handed over the key information to Vijayasai Reddy. The employee who handed over the files was identified as Shanti’s sister.
Suspicions have increased against the sister of Shanti in this case. It may be recalled that Shanthi is Assistant Commissioner in the Endowments Department and her husband alleged of having `live in relationship’ with Vijayasai Reddy and both of them gave birth to a male child.
With the help of Shanthi, it was alleged Vijayasai Reddy had resorted to land grabbing and other corrupt practices around Visakhapatnam. It seems that Vijayasai Reddy had planted her sister as per her plan in Fiber Net and committed crores of rupees corruption here also during YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime.
With this, the authorities have started an investigation focusing on Vijayasai Reddy’s role in this matter. In this order, Shanti’s sister was recently dismissed from her job immediately after the change of government.
Special attention has been paid to know how the files disappeared. In this case, the ACB court has already allowed the attachment of the assets of seven accused. The court has ruled positively to attach assets worth a total of Rs. 114 crore. The CID has also sought permission to attach the properties of their family members.
Moreover, AP Fibernet Chairman GV Reddy alleged that the previous government changed key files as a precaution so that the irregularities did not come out. He said that a female employee had sent key documents to the YSRCP MP and she had already been dismissed from her job.
GV Reddy said that a vigilance investigation is underway on the corruption that took place in AP Fibernet during the previous government.
