Numerous senior leaders, former MLAs, and aspirants from TDP and Jana Sena, including Sivarama Raju, Muddaraboyina Venkateswara Rao, K Appalnaidu, Yanamala Krishnadu, KS Jawahar, JD Rajasekhar, and Pothina Mahesh, have expressed their discontent and are contemplating contesting as independents. Among them, the name of senior TDP leader and former Eluru Lok Sabha member, Maganti Babu, has surfaced. Notably, Babu was not offered a ticket for the upcoming general election, with the Eluru Lok Sabha ticket instead going to Putta Mahesh Yadav.
This decision has sparked considerable unrest within the Telugu Desam Party in Kasta district, with party members expressing dissatisfaction over a leader from Kadapa district receiving the Eluru ticket. Chandrababu Naidu, who had previously criticized the people of Kadapa district, is now facing opposition from leaders there. Amidst the turmoil, Maganti Babu is reportedly considering leaving the TDP, as he has been notably absent from party leadership and election campaigns since the ticket announcement.
