Actor Mohan Babu, facing an attempt-to-murder case for allegedly assaulting a journalist, has moved the Supreme Court after the Telangana High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea. The actor filed a petition challenging the High Court’s decision.
In his petition, Mohan Babu stated that he is 78 years old and suffers from heart-related ailments, requesting the Supreme Court to grant him anticipatory bail on health grounds. The petition was heard by a bench comprising Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra.
During the hearing, Mohan Babu’s counsel sought a passover as senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi was unavailable to represent him. Accepting the request, the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing to next Thursday.
