MLC Kavitha says Budget Sessions Are Historic For passing BC Reservation, SC Classification Bills

Tuesday, April 1, 2025

BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that the 2025-26 budget sessions will go down in the history of the state as in this session BC Reservation Bill and the SC Classification Bill were approved. She claimed that the BRS party has worked hard to bring these bills.

Addressing the press conference along with BRS party MLCs, she said that the mistakes of Congress leaders on debts have been exposed. She recalled that the Union Finance Minister announced in Parliament that the total state debts are Rs. 4.42 lakh crore. But, Kavitha was furious that CM Revanth Reddy is spreading misinformation that he has incurred debts of Rs. 8 lakh crore.

She said that BRS acted as the voice of the people in the Legislative Council and used all opportunities in coordination to question the government. She said that she participated in all the discussions and exposed the failures of the Congress government.

“We raised all the issues like people, farmers and women. We protested in the assembly against the implementation of the promises made by the Congress party in an innovative way every day and also against the inappropriate comments made by the Chief Minister against KCR”, she added.

Kavitha demanded that the Congress party, which came to power by telling lies, should tell the truth. She said that it would be polite if the Congress party admitted that it was telling lies. She said that the Irrigation Minister himself had told the council that there was no truth in the fact that the Kaleshwaram barrages would collapse.

Isn’t it a failure of the Congress government to not provide water?, she  asked. She asserted that they will continue to expose the failures of the Congress in the public sphere. Kavitha said that the silver jubilee of the BRS party will be held at Elkathurthi in Hanamkonda district on April 27. She called on the people to participate in the 25th anniversary celebrations of the BRS party on a large scale.

Recalling that the Chief Minister had announced in the council that the fee reimbursement funds would be released from time to time, Kavitha claimed that it was due to their struggle on fee reimbursement.

She made it clear that they will continue to question the government until this announcement is implemented. She deplored that the CM’s comments will be a stain on history, and alleged that the Chief Minister used obscene language targeting women in the Assembly.
