‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’ – One last resort to generate hype

At the time of the announcement, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty made a lot of noise for several reasons. Firstly, the coming together of talented actor Naveen Polishetty and top-league actress Anushka Shetty grabbed the attention of moviegoers. Also, Anushka Shetty is making a comeback after a brief hiatus. Moreover, the backing of the renowned production house UV Creations is another reason why the film drew good attention.

Unfortunately, the hype tapered off due to repeated delays in the release date and because there is no exciting stuff in the teaser. The heartwarming songs did make some waves but they are not sufficient to generate ample buzz on the film overall. As there is no proper hype, the makers pushed the release date to September 7th.

Now, the theatrical trailer is the last resort to give a strong fillip to the promotions. It is set to be unveiled on Monday. Only an impressive cut can turn the tables for this romantic entertainer. Otherwise, the film is likely to take a weak opening and will entirely depend on positive word of mouth even to get a decent run in the first weekend. Many films are slated for release in September. So, Miss Shetty and Mr Polishetty will require a solid run during its initial days of release to recoup the investment. It depends on how well the trailer impresses audiences.

The film is directed by P. Mahesh Babu. Anushka plays a chef and Naveen will be seen as a stand-up comedian.
