Telugu film-goers are witnessing back-to-back romantic entertainers. After Vijay Devarakonda’s Kushi, which released last Friday, this week it is going to be Naveen Polishetty’s long-awaited rom-com Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty.
Coincidentally, both films featured top-league heroines who carry a good following among family audiences. While Samantha impressed with her emotional performance, it is Anushka’s turn to mesmerize the viewers with her dazzling screen presence.
Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty initially didn’t create much buzz because it was postponed several times. Moreover, the teasers didn’t excite moviegoers beyond a certain level. While it looked like the film might take a lukewarm opening at the box office, it received a big boost ahead of its release.
The strong promotional campaign by Naveen Polishetty in the last couple of weeks created decent hype for the film. And, Anushka also hit the trail recently. They involved Prabhas in a recipe challenge which further boosted the buzz.
Chiranjeevi’s first review of the film generated tremendous hype. He praised the whole team after watching the film and predicted it would emerge as a box-office hit. His positive statement will further result in good pre-sales for the film.
As Kushi performed exceedingly well in USA, there are good chances that Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty might open on a stronger note there. If it manages to secure decent talk, the first weekend numbers will be impressive. However, it will face heavy competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
