Several ministers and TDP leaders have lamented former minister and YCP leader Jogi Ramesh invoking caste after his son Jogi Rajiv’s arrest in AgriGold lands scam. They wondered if a person who resorted to severe irregularities and committed rowdyism during the YCP regime is now professing ethics.
Revenue Minister Anagani Sathya Prasad asserted that the ACB acted only after confirming in its investigation about day-light robberies of Jogi’s family. He asked how can he talk about caste and accuse politics of revenge even after he was caught illegally encroaching land under CID’s custody?
He said that TDP never considered any caste, but only committed to extend justice to all. He said that the law is doing its job and made it clear there is no political interference in it. He asserted that TDP has no history of resorting to partisan act against anyone anywhere.
Minister Kollu Ravindra said that the sins of Jogi Ramesh and his family members, who committed land irregularities, have been paid. The YSRCP leaders, who promised to support the victims of Agrigold, in fact looted its lands by changing survey numbers, he alleged. He warned that this is only the beginning and that more big looters will be exposed soon. He warned that no one who commits a mistake can escape and will be punished according to the law.
Minister Vasamsetti Subhash said that Jogi Ramesh should be ashamed of using the BC card, which is not good for BCs. He criticized the fact that the son was arrested for illegally encroaching Agrigold lands, but today they are making noise.
Though Jogi Ramesh had illegally attacked Chandrababu Naidu’s house and later was inducted into YS Jagan’s cabinet as a reward, he recalled that TDP has never resorted to victimization. But, he expressed anger that a BC card is being used if arrested legally today. He warned them to shut out from using BC cards, as he has done no good for the BC community in his political life.
He rediculted that panic had started among YCP leaders even before the opening of Red Book and several of its leaders were going underground fearing that their sins may catch them anytime.
