Minister for Municipal Administration Dr K. Narayana alleged that during the YSRCP government, TDP leaders were victims of vindictive politics and he was also them. But, he said that now cases are being registered only against those who did wrong and said that arrests are not being made in the middle of the night like in the past.
Stating that peace and security are very important for the development of the state, he revealed that the government has focused on that. Narayana once again clarified that all the promises made in the elections will be implemented. He assured people that “if you wait for a few days, everything will come”.
Dr Narayana was angry that people who do not have opposition status are talking and the budget has been prepared with priority given to development and welfare. He said that the income generated by municipalities in various ways will be spent on development in the respective municipality only. He said that this will come into effect from April 1.
The Minister reminded that during the previous government, all the funds would go to CFMS, due to this, even small works had become difficult. He was angry that the 15th Finance Commission funds were also diverted. He assured that all the houses in the state will be provided with good water taps and this scheme will be completed in three years.
Criticizing that the previous YSRCP government had corrupted the economy, he said that it was being put in a rut. Minister Narayana said that development would gain momentum in the next six months. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the NTR Bharosa pension distribution program was held across the state. As part of this, Minister Narayana went door to door in Bhagat Singh Colony in Nellore district and distributed pensions.
The minister said that after the coalition government came to power in AP, there will be a festive atmosphere on the 1st of every month and 60 lakh people are receiving pensions. He recalled that former chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy said that it is not possible to go door to door and give pensions and pensioners should come to the secretariats, by which some people even died at that time.
Dr Narayana asked how it was made possible now by the present government? He said that that is the difference between an experienced leader and an inexperienced leader. He expressed anger by questioning why Jagan closed the Anna Canteens, saying that 2,25,000 people are now food every day. He asserted that the welfare of the poor and needy was given high priority in the state budget.
