Mega Engineering Commits INR 200 Crore for Young India Skills University Campus Construction

Hyderabad: The establishment of the Young India Skills University in the state has taken a significant step forward. Mega Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) has come forward to support the construction of this prestigious Skills University, initiated by the state government. A delegation led by MEIL’s Managing Director Krishna Reddy held discussions with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat. MEIL has allocated INR 200 crore from its CSR funds for constructing the campus and will oversee the completion of all required university buildings.
In the presence of Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and Vice-Chancellor VLVS Subbarao, the MoU was signed. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Sridhar Babu, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, and MP Anil Kumar Yadav also attended the meeting.
It is notable that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy performed the ground-breaking ceremony in August at a 57-acre site near Mir Khanpet in Kandukur Mandal, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The government has planned for a fully-equipped campus that offers advanced teaching facilities and comprehensive amenities for students. The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for MEIL’s support in funding the campus construction through CSR. According to MEIL MD Krishna Reddy, the campus will feature an academic building, workshops, and hostels.
During the meeting, design models and architectural plans for the university’s buildings were presented. The Chief Minister advised finalizing the building designs within a week and directed that all preparations be made to commence construction on November 8, assuring full government support to expedite the process.
