New Delhi: Congress MP Manickam Tagore filed a complaint with the Rajya Sabha Chairman against YSRCP MP Vijaysai Reddy. Tagore asserted that Reddy had made unfounded accusations against him within the Rajya Sabha, which he deemed inappropriate as it concerns a Lok Sabha member. Tagore highlighted this as a breach of the House’s privileges. He further criticized Reddy for failing to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the special category status for Andhra Pradesh. Tagore accused Jagan of backing all bills introduced by the Centre since 2019, alleging that these bills were detrimental to the public interest.
He noted a contradiction between YSRCP’s support for the Centre in Parliament and their opposition outside. Tagore condemned Jagan for what he perceives as capitulation to Modi and Amit Shah, likening Jagan and Reddy’s actions to submission to the BJP due to pending legal issues. Jagan’s purported lack of achievement from the Centre was also criticized by Tagore.
