Hyderabad: Former minister Malla Reddy addressed a preparatory meeting for the Malkajgiri Parliament, expressing confidence that the people will align with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Malla Reddy asserted that although people supported Congress in the assembly elections, the scenario would be different in the parliamentary polls, where he expects the BRS to secure a majority.
Criticising the current government, Malla Reddy accused them of failing to fulfil their promises, asserting that commitments were made merely to secure power. He pledged that the BRS would persist in fighting until the promises made to the people were realized, even if none had been implemented yet. Addressing the young leaders in Malkajgiri, he expressed confidence in winning the MP seat. He dismissed the no-confidence notices in municipalities, explaining his travel to Dubai and Goa with representatives as a means of providing relaxation and cooling down tensions. Malla Reddy deemed the no-confidence motions as inconsequential.
