YSRCP leader and former minister Perni Nani accused the TDP of targeting YSRCP sympathizers in the state. Following the announcement of election results, the TDP allegedly engaged in anarchic activities across Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP leaders convened a meeting with Governor Abdul Nazeer on Thursday evening to address this issue.

After the meeting, YSRCP leaders spoke to the media, with former minister Perni Nani stating that TDP attacks were aimed at YSRCP sympathizers. He claimed that the TDP’s actions mirrored those seen in Bihar, accusing them of adopting Bihar’s culture. Nani criticized TDP leaders for allegedly terrorizing the public and targeting individuals associated with the YSRCP. He mentioned instances of brutal attacks on YSRCP leaders’ residences and criticized the police for not intervening during daylight attacks in Nuziveedu involving knives. The Governor reportedly expressed surprise and anger over the situation, questioning the state of democracy in Andhra Pradesh.

Nani affirmed that YSRCP had established committees to protect their workers and activated legal teams across all 26 districts to support victims of attacks. Additionally, he informed the Governor about alleged police inaction and expressed concern over the situation.

The delegation of YSRCP leaders meeting with the Governor included Rajya Sabha MP YV Subba Reddy, along with the latest MPs Gurumurthy and Tanuja, MLAs Sivaprasad, Mathyalingam, Vishweshwara Raju, and Parchur leader Balaji.
