Nara Lokesh, TDP’s national general secretary, expressed bewilderment over the repeated checks on vehicles in his convoy over the past three days. He questioned the rationale behind singling out opposition leaders for inspection, suggesting a bias in police actions. Lokesh raised concerns about the apparent lack of scrutiny on vehicles belonging to YSRCP leaders. He cited police claims of conducting inspections under the directives of the DGP.
Lokesh further criticized the presence of an intelligence constable at Chandrababu’s recent meeting in Vijayawada, questioning the necessity of intelligence personnel at internal party gatherings. He called for the suspension of the DGP and the IG of Intelligence in response to these incidents. Additionally, Lokesh expressed frustration over alleged harassment of TDP leaders by the Guntur SP and claimed that TDP members’ phones were being tapped.
