Medaram: Minister Seethakka highlighted that since the Mahalaxmi scheme’s initiation, an impressive 17 crore women have benefited from complimentary TSRTC bus rides. Expressing readiness to accommodate numerous pilgrims for the Medaram Jatara, VIPs were advised to park their vehicles in Mulugu and utilize buses for transportation to the event. Devotees were encouraged to report any issues encountered during the festivities. During an inspection of arrangements for the Medaram Sammakka Sarakka Jatara on Monday, it was revealed that a substantial number of buses are being arranged for the Medaram Jatara.
Sanitation workers have been stationed in Medaram to manage the anticipated surge of devotees, with IAS and IPS-level officers appointed to oversee the fair. Scheduled from the 21st to the 24th of this month, the Medaram Jatra anticipates a staggering 2 crore devotees over the four-day celebration. Officials have been diligently collecting details and allocating budgets for the event, with preparations underway for the past two months.
