Amaravati: As YS Sharmila assumes the role of Andhra Pradesh Congress chief, her criticism of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu has drawn a response from AP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Acknowledging Sharmila as the daughter of YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Jagan’s sister, Sajjala questioned her understanding of the Congress party’s dynamics. He highlighted the challenges faced by YSR’s family after his death, attributing them to the Congress party, including the cases against Jagan. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s assertion that the cases against Jagan were illegal further implicated the Congress party.
Sajjala asserted that Sharmila’s entry into Andhra Pradesh is perceived as part of a conspiracy orchestrated by Chandrababu Naidu, positioning her as the last weapon in this scheme. He criticized Sharmila’s language and accent, deeming them inappropriate. Sajjala raised questions about the sudden shift from Telangana to AP and the decision to contest elections there, pointing out the existence of the Congress party in Telangana and questioning Sharmila’s recognition of the party in that region.
