Ananthapur: [Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the TDP, arrived in Anantapur district today as part of his election campaign for Prajagalam. Addressing the crowd at Bukkarayasamudra, he emphasized the TDP’s expertise in wealth creation. He stressed the correlation between development and prosperity, cautioning against falling into debt traps. Naidu highlighted the importance of prudent financial management, stating his commitment to generating wealth and distributing it among the less privileged. He reminisced about past initiatives such as Dwakra Sanghas, promoting thrift movements, providing cooking gas, and constructing toilets, all aimed at empowering the community.
Promising financial support for girl children, Naidu pledged Rs 1,500 per month under the girl child fund, scaling with the number of female members in a household. He also introduced the “Salutation to the Mother” scheme, acknowledging the invaluable role of mothers and offering financial aid based on the number of children they raise. Naidu expressed his belief in the potential of people as assets and outlined plans to create job opportunities, particularly for the youth. He proposed initiatives to attract industries and investments to the state, promising 20 lakh jobs over five years and financial assistance to unemployed individuals until they find employment.
Other commitments included providing safe drinking water to every household, enacting the BC Protection Act, and increasing pensions for pensioners. Naidu emphasized his track record of implementing welfare measures and vowed to continue supporting the welfare of the people if elected.
