The most crucial phase in the country has begun as the counting of votes for the general elections commenced at 8 am today. Elections for 543 Lok Sabha seats and assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha have concluded, with vote counting taking place today. The counting process started with postal ballots, followed by EVM votes from 8:30 am onwards.
In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by a draw. Special counters have been established for counting postal ballots.
The vote counting for 175 assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh is currently underway, as is the counting for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. Central forces and state police have been deployed at the counting centers, which are secured by a three-tier security system.
