Nellore: Purandeswari, the President of BJP’s Andhra Pradesh, asserted the party’s readiness for upcoming elections by emphasizing grassroots strengthening. She highlighted that decisions regarding alliances will be made at higher echelons. Criticizing the state government, she decried what she perceived as an autocratic and corrupt administration. These remarks were made during a press conference convened in Nellore. Purandeswari pointed out the persistence of various mafias in the state and anticipated legal actions on sand irregularities.
She lamented the government’s failure in rural development, noting a lack of progress and alleged misuse of central funds. Citing instances like 35,000 bogus votes in Tirupati, she underscored BJP’s ongoing battles against issues like alcohol and sand mining. Moreover, Purandeswari criticized discrepancies in the distribution of houses intended for the poor, highlighting delays in handing over keys to beneficiaries despite completed construction. She urged voters to consider these factors when casting their ballots, suggesting that while central aid reaches farmers with ease, state assistance struggles to reach its intended recipients.
