KTR slams Revanth Reddy Lied saying No Discussion on Bankacharla project In CMs meet

Friday, December 5, 2025

BRS Working President KT Rama Rao was furious that Revanth Reddy lied that there was no discussion about Banakacharla in the Chief Ministers’ meeting held on Wednesday, chaired by Unionunder the chairmanship of Union Water Resources Minister CR Patil.

He accused him of handing over the rights of four crore Telangana people to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu in order to hand over the Godavari waters as `Guru Dakshina’.

”Funds to Rahul Gandhi, water to Chandrababu, for making an anti-Telangana person the Chief Minister. Ashes to the people of Telangana! Did you ascend to the throne just to give away the waters of Godavari as Gurudakshina, pretending that there was no discussion about Banakacharla?”, he said.

He asked, “Is it shameful to say Jai Telangana? Isn’t it enough to hand over the rights of four crore Telangana people to Chandrababu?”. He said that the coverts and those who fought for Telangana have been made clear, and questioned whether the destruction of Telangana was necessary to show faith in his mentor Chandrababu?

Why two states and two Chief Ministers? He criticized that if the borders are erased, the tension over Telangana will subside. KTR warned that even if a single drop of water is illegally given to AP, another fight will arise. He criticized Chandrababu for being behind Banakacharla and alleged that Revanth had handed over Telangana’s water rights to Andhra.

KTR has given a call that Telangana, which had been agitating for water, funds and appointments, should prepare for another freedom struggle the day before. He lamented that Revanth, who had leaked to the newspapers the day before that he would boycott the meeting if Banakacharla was mentioned, suddenly changed his plan by mid-night.

He recalled that Revanth had met with Chandrababu Naidu at dawn and that he had sat down for discussions with AP, who had said that ‘Bana Kacharla is their single point agenda’.

While Revanth Reddy is saying that there was no discussion on Banakacharla at all in the meeting of the Chief Ministers of the two states, KTR said that AP Irrigation Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu had made it clear that it was the main topic of discussion. He also posted a video clip related to this on X.
