BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) took to *X* to criticize the Congress government, stating that employees are struggling even during festivals under their mismanagement. Referring to a news article highlighting the issue of unpaid salaries, KTR posted that despite the arrival of the festive season, employees are unable to make purchases due to a lack of funds.
KTR highlighted that contract and outsourcing staff have not been paid for five to six months. He specifically mentioned employees from panchayats, municipalities, hospitals, hostel workers, and guest lecturers, who are all suffering due to the non-payment of salaries. He also pointed out that these workers are being forced to take loans to support their families.
He questioned the unfulfilled promises of paying salaries on the first of each month and expressed concern over employees facing financial difficulties during the Dasara festival. “How can one manage their livelihood when salaries are pending for months?” he asked.
KTR further demanded that the Congress government explain where the ₹80,000 crores borrowed during their 10-month tenure has gone. He called on the government to prioritize the hardships faced by low-wage workers and employees, urging immediate disbursement of their pending salaries.
