Former minister and MLA KT Rama Rao participated in a preparatory meeting for the parliamentary elections at Mustabad Mandal center in Rajanna Sircilla district. Addressing a gathering of BRS workers, he expressed gratitude for their support in his fifth electoral victory. Assuring them not to fret over losing power, he likened their current situation to a car taking a break in the garage after a decade-long journey at full throttle. He urged them to demonstrate their strength once more, emphasizing the importance of moving forward from past setbacks. KTR criticized Congress leaders for politicizing the Kaleshwaram project issues, accusing them of attempting to tarnish KCR’s image rather than addressing the project’s structural challenges.
He questioned whether the Congress, which held power for 50 years, had managed to fill the Narmada project’s water, crediting KCR for achieving this feat. KTR highlighted the Congress’ hypocrisy in campaigning for jobs that were created under their administration without acknowledging their contribution to the welfare of handloom workers. He expressed disappointment over the Congress’ refusal to order Bathukamma sarees for weavers, attributing it to their animosity towards KCR and their attempts to discredit his government’s efforts to provide water to farmers.
