Hyderabad: K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), the president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former Telangana Minister, appeared before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday for questioning in connection with the Formula E race case. KTR arrived at the ACB office in Banjara Hills at approximately 10:10 AM. He was accompanied by Judge Ramachandra Rao.
The Telangana High Court had granted KTR permission to have a lawyer present during the investigation. However, it was made clear that the lawyer would not be allowed in the interrogation room.
In light of the high-profile questioning, extensive security arrangements were made outside the ACB office. Law enforcement agencies were on high alert to maintain order.
KTR is being questioned regarding the instructions issued by Arvind Kumar for the organization of the Formula E race. The ACB is investigating his role in the financial agreements, including the payment of funds to foreign companies. The inquiry is based on statements from Arvind Kumar and other recorded materials.
