New Delhi: The Delhi liquor policy case has sparked widespread interest nationwide, particularly in the two Telugu states, as BRS MLC Kavitha is implicated. Kavitha’s custody with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) concluded yesterday, and she was brought before Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court by ED officials. The ED sought a 14-day extension of her custody, citing ongoing trial proceedings and the interrogation of several other suspects.
In a dramatic statement to the media upon entering the courtroom, Kavitha addressed the possibility of temporary imprisonment, asserting her determination to emerge unscathed. She dismissed the case as not involving money laundering but rather labeled it as “political laundering.” Notably, one accused has joined the BJP, while another hopes for a BJP ticket. Kavitha expressed confidence in her innocence, denouncing the accusations as baseless.
