The 70th National Film Awards have been unveiled, celebrating the crème de la crème of cinema from 2022! Announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) at a dazzling press conference in New Delhi, the awards spotlighted the finest talents and productions of the year.
Among the standout winners, Telugu cinema shone brightly with ‘Karthikeya 2’ clinching the Best Film Award. Starring Nikhil Siddhartha and helmed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film’s sweeping success was met with immense gratitude from the team, marking a high point in Nikhil’s career. The pan-Indian blockbuster not only captivated audiences across the Telugu states but also made waves in North India, establishing itself as one of 2022’s biggest hits.
The accoladed stars and teams will be celebrated by President Droupadi Murmu at a prestigious ceremony set for October 2024.
