Kalvakuntla Kanna Rao Arrested In Land Grabbing Case

On Tuesday, Kalvakuntla Kanna Rao, nephew of BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, was apprehended by Hyderabad police concerning a land dispute case. Allegedly, Kanna Rao and others attempted to unlawfully seize 2 acres of land in Manneguda. He stands as an A4 accused in this matter, with Adibhatla police filing charges against 38 individuals, including Kanna Rao. Despite his plea for anticipatory bail being rejected, he was arrested pursuant to the case.

The case was registered last month on the 3rd following a complaint lodged by the victim, Bandoju Srinivas. According to the complaint, Kanna Rao engaged in a Rs 4 crore deal related to the land dispute, of which Rs 40 lakh was taken as advance. Subsequently, furniture on the land was set ablaze, and the landowners were allegedly threatened. Kanna Rao faces accusations of illegal trespass, threats, and assault to coerce eviction from the land. Previously, police had issued a lookout notice against him
