Some IPS officers, who were known for their proximity with former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and allegedly committed anarchy against the opposition and gave impetus to the party, have still continued their loyalty even after change of government and also they were kept waiting without a posting.

The coalition government soon after coming to power has sidelined such officers directing them to report at DGP office. In the beginning they tried miserably to meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seeking `good placement’. However, he avoided them meeting.

Even though the government ordered an inquiry into the irregularities and anarchies during the YCP regime, the DGP office found that they were conspiring to water down all those cases so as to protect those who played key roles during the previous government.

The intelligence department has come to the conclusion that the officers and staff investigating the cases are being called and talked to. It has reported to the DGP office that they are influencing the officials to mislead the investigation. They have come to the conclusion that they are being pressured to downplay their role and involvement of top YCP leaders in various cases.

In some cases, efforts were also made to mislead the ongoing internal investigation. The intelligence department has given a report to the state government on all these issues, which has sent shocking waves to the key leaders in the government.

In a way a strong message was sent to those officers that any  efforts to obstruct the investigation will not be tolerated. The DGP’s office decided to curb the conspiracies of the IPS in waiting and took antidote measures. It directed them to come to the DGP office at 10 am every day and sign and stay there till evening.

Meanwhile DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has issued memos to some waiting IPS officers in the state. He was ordered to report to the headquarters every day. Memos were issued to those who were waiting and were not available at the headquarters.

Memos were issued to 16 officers including PSR Anjaneyulu and Sunil Kumar. Memos were also issued to Sanjay, Kanti Rana Tata, Kolli Raghurami Reddy, Ammireddy, Vijay Rao, Vishal Gunni, Ravi Shankar Reddy, Rishant Reddy, Raghuveera Reddy, Parameshwar Reddy, Joshua, Krishnakanth Patel and Palaraj.
