Just like how Sharmila Reddy alleged in her explosive missives sent to her brother and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that she has been targeted by his political mouthpiece Sakshi media and his coterie without an iota of concern when she took a plunge into the state politics earlier this year, some of the leaders of YSR Congress party once again started attacking her in the wake of the recent property spat that has become a sensation all over.
As Jagan Mohan Reddy’s political career appeared to have taken a further beating in recent times due to the exposure of his disputes with his sister Sharmila over sharing of inheritance and other assets relating to their late father YS Rajasekhar Reddy, staunch YSRCP leaders like Perni Nani, YV Subba Reddy, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy and Rachamalla Shiva Prasad Reddy come out in a jiffy to save their leader by interacting with the press and find fault with Sharmila.
On Friday, these leaders held press meets one after another to stand by Jagan and defended his version in the ongoing family feud with Sharmila and Vijayamma. They claimed that Jagan shared properties with Sharmila out of pure love and affection and accused her of playing political game with Telugu Desam Party to end his career. They further said businesses like Bharati Cements and Sakshi media were established by Jagan and entirely belong to him and discarded Sharmila’s version as a pack of lies.
YV Subba Reddy alleged that Sharmila colluded with Chandrababu Naidu as part of the conspiracy to cancel Jagan’s bail petition and send him to jail. Sajjala also came down heavily on Sharmila and alleged that she manipulated the gift deeds presented by Jagan. He further said that Jagan approached NCLT only because Sharmila illegally transferred shares on her name without following the provisions and conditions of MoU. Perni Nani said Sharmila is not a share holder in Jagan’s businesses and she has got no right to demand an equal portion of his assets.
After Sharmila entered the political scene of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party leaders started looking down upon her. However, she didn’t budge to reconcile with Jagan and openly declared a political battle with him. In the recent assembly elections, she played her role in bringing down Jagan from the throne. Since then, Jagan has been trying to usurp the properties of Rajasekhar Reddy. So, Sharmila has now opened up completely and took the fight to next level with her series of allegations.
