The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to launch a massive sports event for the state of AP. Under the name ‘Aadudaam Andhra’, this spectacular event is aimed to search for the young talent of AP in Sports.
Jagan has directed the State’s Principal Secretary to undertake this event and a thirteen-member committee is established under the department of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh. The SAAP will conduct sports events every year starting this year, a brainchild of Jagan. As many as close to three lakh matches in games and sports like Tennikoit, Cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball, and Basketball are conducted including some rural and local sports within particular districts of AP and this event will be launched on the 2nd of October on the occasion of Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The sports event shall be held for a span of 1.5 to 2 months where they conduct all the games and sports to finalize 250 final matches to be held statewide.
Already the Principal Secretary is preparing to send official orders to the district collectors of AP regarding this to prepare everything. Sports kits shall also be distributed before the tournaments for those enthusiastic people who are or above 17 years of age. According to the new circular, interested candidates can approach their concerned Gram Volunteer or Secretariats for enrollment and further information.
