Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, his mother YS Vijayamma, sister YS Sharmila and other prominent leaders paid tributes to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy on his 75th birth anniversary at YSR Ghat in Idupulapaya.
Along with Jagan, mother Vijayamma, aunt Vimalamma, wife Bharti, Ex MLA Rabindranath Reddy and others participated in special prayers. Though many expected YS Sharmila to also join them in offering tributes to father, she arrived there after the departure of Jagan.
She reached YSR Ghat with her husband Anil, son, daughter-in-law and daughter. Sharmila’s mother Vijayamma waited for them and joined daughter’s family.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will attend the 75th birth anniversary program of YS Rajasekhar Reddy organized by AP Congress in Vijayawada on Monday. Revanth will attend the program to be held at CK Convention Center in Mangalagiri under the auspices of APCC President YS Sharmila.
It seems that Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Sivakumar is also coming along with Revanth. Sharmila is trying to bring former glory to the Congress party in the state after YSP’s disastrous defeat in the AP assembly elections.
As YCP is currently confined to 11 seats, Congress is hoping to strengthen itself politically. As a part of this, YSR Jayanti is being organized by Sharmila on a grand scale.
In Telangana too today YSR Jayanti celebrations are being organized under the auspices of TPCC. Programs will be held at Praja Bhavan and Gandhi Bhavan. A photo exhibition of YSSR has been organized at Praja Bhavan.
On Monday morning, CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhattivikramamarka, ministers, Congress MPs, MLAs and other key leaders will pay tributes to the statue of YSSR in Panjagutta. After that, all the leaders will go to Praja Bhavan.. there they will see YSR’s photo exhibition. After that they will pay tribute to YSR’s portrait at Gandhi Bhavan. A blood donation camp will be visited at Gandhi Bhavan.
CM Revanth Reddy will go to Vijayawada in a special flight at 4 pm. They will participate in the Jayanthi celebrations in Mangalagiri. Along with CM Revanth, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka along with Telangana ministers and chief leaders will also come to Vijayawada.
Meanwhile, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi said that Congress party will always remember the memories of former CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy. On Sunday, Sonia released a letter on the occasion of YSR’s 75th birth anniversary. In the letter, Sonia praised YSR as a great leader who selflessly served the country, the people of Andhra Pradesh and the Congress party with great talent, dynamism and dedication, and he was a true patriot.
