During a marriage proposal meeting, he is stunned to see the prospective bride (Priya Prakash Varrier)—his childhood classmate. They agree to spend a week together before deciding on their future.

Just when Prabhu starts considering marriage, Neela comes across his wedding invitation, leaving him shaken. When a friend asks about his past, Prabhu opens up about his love story—his romance with Neela, the conflicts with her father, and the painful breakup that followed.

But fate has more surprises in store. What led to their separation? How does Anjali (Ramya Ranganathan) become a part of his story? And ultimately, who does Neela marry? The answers unfold in the rest of the journey.

Review:

Pavish gives a commendable performance of a young cook going through love, heartbreak, and their consequences. His natural reactions and effortless body movements make his role relatable as well as entertaining.

Anikha Surendran impresses with her compelling screen presence and emotionally charged acting. Mathew Thomas is perfect as Pavish’s friend with lots of humour courtesy his perfect comic timing. Ramya Ranganathan makes a big impact with her charm in limited screen space.

Sharanya Ponvannan, Aadukalam Naren, and Sarath Kumar lend gravity with their authoritative performances. Special appearances by Priya Prakash Varrier and Priyanka Arul Mohan add to the film’s charm.

Dhanush kicks off Jabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama with an engaging introduction, immediately grabbing the audience’s attention with alliance scenes set after a breakup. This intriguing start builds curiosity as the story gradually unfolds, revealing the reasons behind the split. The first half is packed with moments that resonate with younger audiences, but as the film progresses, the predictable storyline slightly dampens the excitement.

The screenplay flows smoothly in the initial half, despite a few familiar tropes. Dhanush keeps the entertainment factor intact with youthful elements, witty dialogues, and energetic songs that add charm. However, the second half takes a dip when the story moves to Goa, where the narrative starts dragging with exaggerated performances and repetitive sequences, testing the audience’s patience. The pre-climax and climax fail to deliver any major surprises, leading to a predictable and somewhat underwhelming ending.

On the technical front, GV Prakash Kumar’s music stands out, featuring foot-tapping songs and a compelling background score that complements the narrative. While the production values maintain a high standard.

Overall, Jabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama is a routine yet entertaining romantic comedy. Though it doesn’t bring anything groundbreaking to the table, its youthful appeal and engaging moments make it a decent pick for a fun weekend watch.
