Intense Factional Feuds  Between Anantapur Urban TDP MLA, Ex MLA Reached TDP Headquarters

Monday, December 8, 2025

Former TDP MLA of Anantapur Prabhakar Chaudhary has complained to TDP state president Palla Srinivas that Anantapur Urban MLA Daggupati Venkateswara Prasad is bringing a bad name to the party by committing many anarchies through his followers.

About 70 people from Anantapur accompanied him and met Palla at the TDP central office and presented the evidence they had. In the same order, as part of the first step in the good governance program, the MLAs and party in-charges who had visited less than 30,000 houses were called to the party office and Palla was asked to explain.

As the Anantapur MLA and former MLAs were in a frenzy with mutual accusations, Palla Srinivasa Rao stepped in on the orders of Chief Minister and party chief Chandrababu Naidu. He clarified over the phone that it was not right to make allegations publicly and on social media that would damage the party’s reputation and that if there were any problems, they should be brought to the attention of the party leadership.

Responding to this, former MLA Prabhakar Chaudhary along with party leaders complained to Palla Srinivas at the TDP central office that MLA Daggubati is filing cases against party workers and seizing people’s properties.

Those who claim to be victims of the MLA also explained their problems. They showed some documents to Palla Srinivas, saying that their properties were snatched by the MLA’s followers. Prabhakar Chaudhary said that seven acres of property worth about Rs. 100 crore, which is the basis of 60-70 families, were registered in the name of the MLA’s relatives.

He explained to Palla that all the victims were Telugu Desam supporters. He said that all the properties worth Rs. 3 crore belonging to an ophthalmologist were snatched. ‘Should we be on the side of the people? Or should we remain silent and bear everything that will give the party a bad name?’ It is learnt that Prabhakar Chaudhary expressed his concern to Palla.

While MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad did not attend the meeting, the party instructed to attend whenever CM Chandrababu was available. Meanwhile, finance Minister Payyavula Keshav and Tadipatri MLA Asmit Reddy were among those who visited less than 30,000 homes as part of the first step in good governance. They had informed in advance that they would not be able to attend due to other commitments.
