Indo- Pak war clouds shadow over conduct of Miss World Pageant Event In Hyderabad

Monday, December 8, 2025

The Miss World pageant, which was scheduled to be held in the state, due to the tense situation between India and Pakistan, is in doubt. It is learnt that the organizers are planning to change the schedule of the Miss World pageant, which was scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from 10 to 31 of this month.

There is a lot of confusion over the organization of the pageant in the backdrop of suspicions that there is a risk of problems arising in the security of the beauties participating in the pageant.

With 70 percent of the contestants already arriving in Hyderabad, representatives of the Miss World organization are reportedly debating whether to continue the pageant or change the schedule? An official announcement on this is likely to be released on Thursday evening. The organizers have already made all the arrangements for the 72nd ‘Miss World-2025’ pageant to be held in Hyderabad.

The state government has announced that contestants from 116 countries will participate in the pageant, of which contestants from 88 countries have reached Hyderabad by Wednesday evening. Another 28 countries are expected to arrive. India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ to eliminate Pakistani terrorists, creating a war atmosphere between the two countries.

In this context, the Indian government has temporarily closed 18 airports in the country. Officials have announced that nearly 300 flight services in the country have been canceled. On the other hand, the Hyderabad metropolis, which has been a strategic defense center since the Nizam’s time, has continued to be a base for the three services since then.

It is not only an arms depot that provides weapons to soldiers in difficult times, but also a safe and strategic center for the defense system. As a center that provides all the necessary infrastructure for the defense department, a place with cyber technology to counter cyber attacks, and an aerospace hub, all eyes are now on Hyderabad.

In this context, the Miss World competitions are in a dilemma. It is learnt that representatives of the Miss World organization are considering the possibility of legal problems if the competitions are held without all the registered candidates. On the other hand, there are also concerns that security problems may arise, and it may become difficult to provide protection to the contestants and foreign media representatives who have come to cover the event.
