Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that if the Godavari waters that are being wasted into the sea are utilized properly, there will be no drought in the states of AP and Telangana. He said that Rayalaseema will be turned into a green hub. He said that Gandikota festivals will be held on December 26 and 27.
He lamented former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for visiting those who made inappropriate comments against the female MLA as cruel. He distributed pensions as part of the `Pedala Seva Prajavedika’ program organized in Guden Cheruvu village under Jammalamadugu constituency in Kadapa district. He laid several foundation stones in the Gandikota tourist area.
First, he went to the house of Alivelamma, a handloom worker in Gudencheruvu village, and distributed the pension. Later, he went to the Prajavedika Sabha in an auto. Speaking at this meeting, Chandrababu said that the Poorla Seva program was taken up in a movement manner. He said that Andhra Pradesh is the state that provides the highest social pensions among the 27 states and eight union territories of the country.
Chandrababu said that Kadapa district is receiving investments of Rs. 44,000 crores in the green energy sector. He said that as per the promise given in the Kadapa Mahanadu, a steel industry has been sanctioned for Kadapa and that phase-1 has been ordered to be completed by December 2028.
He said that Handri-Neeva Canal works have been undertaken with a capacity of 3,900 cusecs at a cost of Rs. 3,800 crores and efforts are being made to provide water up to Kuppam. He said that free bus facilities will be provided to women from the 15th of this month. He said that the P-4 scheme will be made a role model for the world. He said that nine lakh people have already been adopted.
Chandrababu said that from the International Handloom Day on the 7th of this month, free electricity will be provided to 500 units for handloom power looms and 200 units for handlooms. He said that the historic Gandikota area is being developed as an anchor hub. He laid the foundation stone for various development works in Gandikota worth Rs. 80 crore.
He said that a master plan will be prepared to develop Gandikota as a tourist destination. He said that agreements worth Rs. 500 crore have been signed for various tourism projects across the state. Later, he entrusted the responsibility of supporting the families of Deevena and Nagamma to entrepreneurs.
