Story:
In HIT-3, Nani plays Arjun Sarkar, a daring and ruthless Superintendent of Police. Haunted by the death of his mother during childhood, Arjun is tough and uncompromising as an adult, convinced that no criminal should ever walk free. His mission is set: to make society crime-free, even at the cost of extreme action.
Arjun’s life is turned around when he discovers a dark web site called C.T.K., a meeting place for psychopathic killers who are perpetrating a series of gruesome murders. The site becomes a cat-and-mouse game for the killers, challenging the police to catch them. Arjun is determined to solve the case and takes it upon himself to head the investigation, going deep into the deadly world behind the murders.
In the midst of the turmoil, Arjun comes across Mridula (acted by Srinidhi Shetty), and their bond flowers into love. But Mridula’s abrupt appearance in his life raises an eyebrow—who is she actually? What does she hide? As Arjun scrambles against time to identify the mastermind of C.T.K., he confronts questions that test both his professional and personal life.
Review:
Nani demonstrates his versatility once more with HIT 3, in which he acts Arjun Sarkar, an industrious, no-nonsense police officer. His acting is the soul of the film, especially in emotional and action sequences. Audience members waiting with bated breath for Nani to play a hard, action hero will be entirely satisfied with HIT 3, which features big pictures and an engaging combination of action and emotion.
Srinidhi Shetty makes a commanding Telugu debut with this film. She fits in neatly into her role, providing a restrained yet effective performance, particularly in crucial emotional scenes. She brings glamour to the screen, and her on-screen chemistry with Nani lends warmth to the otherwise somber narrative. Rao Ramesh and Srinath Maganti too deliver with realistic performances to what they have been given. Even Adivi Sesh, who plays a cameo, makes an indelible mark, while the rest of the supporting cast adds richness to the film’s world.
Director Sailesh Kolanu succeeds in finding a perfect balance between high-octane action and emotional connect. His vision keeps HIT 3 faithful to its dark, gritty tone while bringing Nani in a new, bold avatar. The action scenes are nicely done, and the emotionally charged scenes connect well, making the film appealing for action enthusiasts as well as thriller lovers.
All that being said, the movie is not flawless. Although the initial half is sharp and engaging, the latter half falters at times, with some of the scenes turning out to be repetitive. The romance between Nani and Srinidhi could have been developed further to have higher stakes emotionally. Sometimes, the movie cannot keep up the same level of intensity all the time.
Technically, HIT 3 is superb. Cinematographer Sanu John Varghese gets the dark tone of the film exactly right, from visually pleasing fight scenes and mood-setting shots. Mickey J Meyer’s music in the film gets the mood spot on, through well-tuned songs and an adequate background score that generates tension and emotion.
Sailesh Kolanu remains true to the overall theme of the film, marrying high-energy action and strong characters. Though some of the decisions made by the story may have been sharper, he provides an adequate thriller that is engrossing. Producers Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni ensure there are production values to a high quality, as the polished appearance and feel of the film attest.
HIT 3 is a gripping, visually striking action thriller elevated by Nani’s stellar performance and strong technical craft. Despite a few pacing issues in the second half, it delivers an intense and satisfying cinematic experience for fans of dark, emotional thrillers.
