Harish Rao slams TGPSC Defamation Notice To Rakesh Reddy For criticizing Group-1 Results

Friday, April 18, 2025

Former minister and BRS leader Harish Rao took severe exception to the TGPSC defamation notices being served to BRS leader Enugula Rakesh Reddy alleging false allegations against them regarding Group-1 results. He strongly condemns the Congress government’s political partisanship against Rakesh Reddy.

He deplored and asked is the government intent to file a defamation case if some one questioned the injustice on behalf of Group-1 candidates? Will they continue to rule as a dictator even though they are a public government? Will they threaten him with criminal cases?, he asked.

Harish Rao said that if allegations are made, it is wrong to act autocratically instead of revealing the facts. He warned that the government should change its stance and that BRS leaders and activists will not be intimidated by such threats. He made it clear that such illegal cases will be faced legally.

Meanwhile, BRS leader Enugula Rakesh Reddy responded in the wake of the TGPSC defamation notices being served. Referring to  poet Dasarathi, who had uttered a contemptuous voice saying that if he is imprisoned, his king will be a fume for generations on the walls of the prison, said that he was a child born on the ground of Orugallu.  He made it clear that he was not afraid of such notices.

He said that if opposing injustice is a crime, he would commit that crime again and again. Rakesh Reddy alleged that a defamation case was filed against him for reasonably questioning the government and TGPSC on the irregularities in the Group 1 examination. If questioning alone destroys his dignity, then what should the unemployed who are losing their lives due to the irregularities committed by you do?, he asked.

He recalled that Revanth Reddy, who is now the Chief Minister, had taken to the streets in the past and made many criticisms of the same TSPSC. He questioned why no notices were issued then. He said that cases are not new to the BRS party and leadership, and the struggle is not new. He said that he will fight for the students and the unemployed with that spirit. He made it clear that he will respond to your honorable claim soon.
