Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS MLA Harish Rao has strongly criticized the Telangana government for its lack of progress in the rescue operations following the SLBC tunnel accident. In a post on social media, he expressed disappointment that, despite 50 days having passed since the incident, the government’s response has been marked by negligence. He pointed out that the ongoing agony of the families of the victims, who are still waiting for closure, is a result of the government’s failure to take timely action.
Harish Rao accused Congress leaders of using the incident for publicity, stating that their only contribution so far has been a single review meeting with no sincere efforts to resolve the issue. He lamented the poor coordination in the rescue efforts, which he said had led to delays and a lack of decisive action. He also called for a comprehensive investigation into the SLBC tunnel accident and demanded that the government support the affected families, particularly the six individuals still trapped. Harish Rao concluded by urging the state government to take responsibility and ensure that the victims’ families are adequately cared for during their time of distress.
