BRS Siddipet MLA Harish Rao has expressed strong displeasure regarding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent statement claiming that Sonia Gandhi had offered him a ministerial position. Harish Rao asserted that he did not receive his ministerial role as a favor from anyone. He emphasized that when he was appointed as a minister, Revanth Reddy was also part of the BRS (formerly TRS) and was present during his procession.
In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Harish Rao criticized Revanth Reddy for making baseless remarks despite being aware of the circumstances. He reminded Revanth Reddy that he had resigned from the ministerial position questioning the injustice happening in Telangana, and noted that such remarks were being made despite everything being clear to him.
Harish Rao clarified that their entry into the Congress government was solely based on Sonia Gandhi’s request and not for personal gains. He questioned Revanth Reddy’s right to speak about positions and values, highlighting that the BRS has a history of sacrificing positions for the Telangana movement. He criticized the Chief Minister for changing parties frequently and only speaking about positions, calling him a “cheap minister” who does not act with dignity despite his official position.
