Gade Srinivasulu Naidu Wins North Andhra Teacher MLC Election

The counting of votes for the North Andhra Teacher MLC election has concluded, with PRTU candidate Gade Srinivasulu Naidu securing victory. Sitting MLC Raghu Varma faced defeat. Naidu maintained a lead from the first round of counting.
A total of 10 candidates contested the election, with eight being eliminated during the elimination process. In the final stage, the contest was between Srinivasulu Naidu and Raghu Varma. With the support of second-preference votes, Srinivasulu Naidu reached the required majority of 10,068 votes to clinch the win.
Minister Atchannaidu Accuses YSRCP of Misinformation
Minister Atchannaidu condemned the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for allegedly spreading misinformation regarding the teacher MLC election results. He stated that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) followed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s instructions to allocate first-preference votes to Raghu Varma and second-preference votes to Srinivasulu Naidu, emphasizing that both candidates were supported by the party.
Atchannaidu further accused YSRCP of fielding a candidate under the guise of the UTF in the teacher MLC election and criticized the party for allegedly using the PDF as a front in the graduate MLC elections.
